Well we are getting five songs in this movie and all of them are in Tamil Language as original film is in Tamil. But hope so Hindi Versions of those songs will be gud as we have heard in past Tamil Movies. Well this is action film then story must be of some typical Tamil Movies fights and actions.
Raja Lingeshwaram(Rajini Sir) lives in Solaiyur village somewhere in south India is an engineer. He is wealthy man so able to complete his degree not only from foreign countries yeah its Cambridge University {After all he is Rajinikant ! } After taking his degree from Cambridge university he returns to his village Solaiyur at the time when India was not having freedom. British Government was ruling India at that time, the farmers were in poor conditions (as they are after freedom too!). Raja Lingeshwaram found farmers in search of water and fighting for the same against British Government. Lingeshwaram asks British Government to build dam in the villiage but they refuse to do so. Then lingeshwaram decides to build the dam itself by help of the villagers and farmers. When the dam is about to complete from the construction he is forced to leave the village.
Then after some days (in the present time) an engineer comes from the survey of the damn along with MP and village headman and at the same day engineer dies on the same night. But he says to open the Shiva’s temple in the village. But that temple is closed for several years due to some reason. Then villagers says that the door will be opened by lingeshwaram’s grandson ‘ Lingaa’ ( rajini sir’s second role) and the story moves on.

Sir Rajni is playing two roles in the movie one of Lingeshwaram and second role is of Lingaa. Anushka shetty is shown in the lead role when bringing ‘Lingaa’ back to his home village Solaiyur. Lingaa is thief and after coming to solaiyur he learns about his grandfather. While his stay in solaiyur he came to know that the statue of shiva in the temple is made up of diamonds and he thinks to steal it. Sonakshi Sinha is shown different than her usual looks in the movies. And her dance performances are pretty and a must watch treat for audience.
